KCD Climate Pledge

KCD takes the climate crisis very seriously and sets a goal for every project to be carbon neutral in design. The built environment makes up 40% of the world's carbon emissions. It is KCD’s responsibility as a designer to initiate change in our society by not just preventing new carbon emissions, but by beginning to pull down carbon already in the environment. This involves choosing new building materials, diminishing site disturbance, increasing landscaping, conducting carbon studies, and incorporating net zero energy use. KCD strives to follow the United Nations 17 goals towards sustainable development and to work with contractors with similar beliefs in order to take the correct steps to carbon neutrality.
